LArSoft algorithm optimization and HPC workflows

To accelerate the event reconstruction in high-energy physics experiments using modern parallel computing architectures, it is useful to:

  • identify key algorithms that are dominant contributors to reconstruction workflows,
  • re-design those algorithms to efficiently use parallelism at the data and instruction levels,
  • deploy the new code in the experiments’ frameworks,
  • explore execution on different architectures and platforms.
